The Indian economy is slowing and is likely to post the weakest GDP growth numbers since 2021-22, according to the first advance estimate by the National Statistics Office (NSO).

- DIPAK MONDAL @ New Delhi

The NSO data, released on Tuesday, show that real GDP growth in FY25 is likely to have decelerated to 6.4% compared to 8.2% in the previous financial year.

NSO's estimate for FY25 is lower than the 6.6% growth forecast by the Reserve Bank of India.
