UP govt forms panel to utilise unused NCR land

THE UP government has set up a committee to devise a strategy for utilising vast tracts of land lying unused under Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), official sources said.
According to state government sources, around four lakh hectares of land have been notified under the three authorities, but the master plans cover only about 1.5 lakh hectares, with just 40,000 hectares actually acquired. The state government's move aims to accelerate industrial growth, attract investment, and create jobs by making land availability smoother and more predictable for investors.
