Three-way race for Ranji QFs in Group A

The Morning Standard

IT’S a three-way race to quarterfinals in Group A with Andhra set to take one of the two spots given the fact that their league match is against Nagaland.

- ENS/AGENCIES @ Jamshedpur

Nagaland have lost five out of last six matches and a win or even a first innings lead against them will be enough for Andhra, who are first on the table with 28 points, to progress.

Second-placed Jharkhand and Vidarbha, a rung below them, are tied on points with both on 25 points. Jharkhand will take on Odisha while defending champions Vidarbha play Uttar Pradesh in their last league match. Either one of them will make it to the knockout stages unless Andhra lose their match, which looks highly unlikely.

TN take on Odisha
