Temperature rises above normal in city; IMD warns of heatwave conditions

THE capital on Sunday recorded a maximum temperature of 35.6 degrees Celsius, 7.2 notches above the seasonal average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The minimum temperature settled at 16.7 degrees Celsius, 2.7 notches above normal.
The IMD has predicted a partly cloudy sky on Monday, with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to reach around 37 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius respectively.
