|July 21, 2023
INDIAN openers Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal maintained their sublime form in the Caribbean to take their team to 159/3 after 42 overs (at the time of going to print) on day one of the second Test against West Indies here on Thursday.

Young Jaiswal (57) and skipper Rohit (80), who both scored hundreds in India’s dominant win in the opening Test, set the perfect platform for the middle-order, led by Virat Kohli to build on. The visitors scored at a run rate of 4.65 in 26 overs. Jaiswal was dropped at first slip by Alick Athanaze off Jason Holder on the penultimate ball of the session.
