Pilot joins Aravalli protests, Raj Cong plans to step up offensive with march

DESPITE the Centre's claim that no fresh mining leases will be issued in the Aravallis, the political fight over the fragile range is growing sharper in Rajasthan.
On Friday, NSUI took out a large march in Jaipur, drawing thousands of students and activists.
Congress general secretary Sachin Pilot joined the protest, saying the Aravallis are "not just hills, but Rajasthan's natural shield". His son, Arhaan Pilot, made his first appearance at a political protest, adding symbolic weight.
