Op Sindhu continues, 600 more Indians evacuated

INDIA on Sunday evacuated around 600 more citizens in two flights from the Iranian city of Mashhad, as tensions continue to escalate between Iran and Israel. The first batch arrived in New Delhi at 4:30 pm on a special chartered flight, taking the total number of Indians brought home under Operation Sindhu to 1,713.

"Total 311 Indian nationals arrived in New Delhi on a special flight from Mashhad at 4:30 pm on June 22," Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said. Another flight carrying 285 individuals landed around 11:30 pm.
