GREEN PARK HAS STAY OF EXECUTION

The Morning Standard

THE Green Park Stadium in Kanpur drew a lot of flak ever since the second Test between India and Bangladesh began on Friday.

GREEN PARK HAS STAY OF EXECUTION

But as the saying goes, all's well that ends well. A win for India following an exciting two-and-a-half-day's of play meant the dejection and anger gave way to jubilation and ecstasy.

The complexion of the match changed on the fourth day when the hosts played aggressively to force a result. Their bowlers didn't lag behind as they wrapped up Bangladesh's second innings quickly on Tuesday to give the batters enough time to chase down a small target of 95. It was a moment to cherish for around 20,000 fans who turned up on the last day to witness their team converting a dull draw into a memorable win.
