Detention of Amritpal under NSA extended by another year

The Punjab government has decided to extend the detention of Khadoor Sahib MP and radical Sikh preacher Amritpal Singh (32) under the National Security Act (NSA) by a year.
A senior government official, while confirming the news, noted that Amritpal, who is the head of the Waris Punjab De outfit, will remain lodged in a jail in Assam's Dibrugarh.
