Deepam-2 scheme: First tranche of free cylinders to beneficiaries from Nov

ANDHRA Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday launched the Deepam-2 scheme aimed at providing free gas cylinders to underprivileged households.

The scheme is part of his government's "Super Six" welfare programmes and will cost the state ₹2,684 crore annually.
The scheme is designed to alleviate the burden of cooking fuel expenses for economically weaker sections across the state.
As part of Deepam-2 scheme, the first tranche of free cylinders is set to be delivered to eligible beneficiaries from November 1.
