Determined to cap the exodus of local youth to other states for jobs, a forest officer based in Palamau Tiger Reserve strives to usher in opportunities
AS the Deputy Director in the Palamau Tiger Reserve (PTR), Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Prajesh Kant Jena has taken it upon himself to check the migration of youth to other states in search of livelihood. He has come up with an initiative, Hunar se Rozgar, under which youngsters living in local villages are undergoing free 45-day training programmes at two centres within the reserve – Batla and Mandal – to develop proficiency in computer operations, mechanics and various other domains. Girls, for example, are receiving training in sewing, knitting and embroidery.

Adani Group's gross debt increases to ₹3.36L cr, cash balance up at ₹57k cr
ADANI Group said on Monday that it had a cash balance of ₹57,157 crore at the end of September 2025. This is about 17% of its gross debt which now has grown to ₹3.36 lakh crore.
