32 Airports, Shut Due To Conflict, Reopen For Flight Operations Today

THE Ministry of Civil Aviation on Monday declared the resumption of flight operations in the 32 airports shut after Operation Sindoor.
However, the airlines will begin running the flights in a phased manner. The airports were supposed to remain closed until May 15.
The ministry said, "Temporary closure of 32 airports for civil aircraft operations till 05:29 hrs of May 15 2025 has been lifted. These airports are now available for civil aircraft operations with immediate effect."
The statement added, "Travellers are advised to check flight status directly with the airlines and monitor the airlines' websites for updates."
Earlier, the Airports Authority of India issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) giving the green signal for the move.
