Kidnapped KZN Midlands farmer found murdered in burnt vehicle

POLICE in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a burnt body inside a vehicle in Mpophomeni on Sunday morning.

The victim has been identified as local resident Mike Pryor of Kwa Heri Farm in the Indezi Valley, uMngeni Local Municipality (Howick). According to uMngeni Local Municipality's deputy mayor, Sandile Mnikathi, the community has been left in shock by the killing.

"It is with deep sorrow and profound shock that I, on behalf of uMngeni Local Municipality, announce the tragic passing of resident Mike Pryor," Mnikathi said in an official statement.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Mike's family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. We extend our deepest sympathies and support."
