School prepares for student influx

WORK is under way to install temporary modular units on the grounds of a Cullercoats school to accommodate pupils from the soon-to-close Monkseaton High.
North Tyneside Council has confirmed it is working to install temporary units on the grounds of Marden High School.
The new accommodation, consisting of five teaching spaces, small group work spaces, and a new dining facility, will help with the influx of students leaving Monkseaton High School to increase parental choice.
It is believed the units will be in place for three academic years to also accommodate the larger year groups coming out of middle schools.
