Poll predicts big North East gains for Reform
The Journal
|June 28, 2025
A MAJOR poll showing voter intention has revealed that Reform UK make huge inroads in the North East on their way to victory if a General Election was called today.
YouGov’s first MRP poll of the new parliament comes almost a year after Labour won a historic 172-seat majority.
MRP (Multilevel Regression and Post-stratification) is a technique whereby pollsters combine a very large poll with other sources of information to calculate results constituency by constituency.
Reform’s hypothetical victory would still not be enough to secure a majority in the House of Commons.
The estimated seat projections show that Reform would increase its seats from five to 271, while Labour would lose 233 seats, dropping from 411 to 178.
