'North exemplifies our tech mission'

THE Government's Al Minister has visited the region as part of a tour of UK tech clusters.

Kanishka Narayan MP's visit was hosted by Sunderland Software City, a founding member of the UK Tech Cluster Grouo.

In Newcastle the Minister met with innovators, researchers and business leaders from the region's Al and technology sector.

His discussions included how to amplify regional success stories, strengthening the Al talent pipeline and supporting firms to adopt Al technologies to boost their productivity. Mr Narayan also heard about the National Innovation Centre for Data's data and AI traineeship programme, which is equipping early-career professionals with industry-ready skills and supporting the growth of the region's AI workforce.
