New residency for Hjem includes event with King

Following a successful six months, Alex and Ally Nietosvuori have announced that Michelin-star favourite Hjem will extend its stay at South Causey Inn until the end of 2026.

And they’re also planning a summer programme of special events and collaborations - including a one-night tasting menu with Si. The special collaboration dinner, taking place at The Farmhouse at South Causey Inn on June 25, will see Alex team up with Si alongside Propa Pies executive chef Rory Welch for an evening of food and conversation inspired by their shared love of great produce, generous cooking and memorable hospitality.

Bookings for the event are now open. The evening also marks the latest chapter in a longstanding connection between Si and the Hjem team. It began when Si and his late Hairy Bikers co-star Dave Myers visited the original Michelin-starred Hjem in Wall, Northumberland, while filming for a BBC series spotlighting local produce and suppliers.

Si later returned to Hjem with his youngest son to experience the restaurant away from the cameras.
