Naughton looking to retain European crown with England

CHARLOTTE Naughton is out to help England retain the European Girls’ Team Championship on home greens next month.

Attached to Longhirst Hall, she is part of the six-player team for the event at Slaley Hall from July 8-12.
Naughton helped England to the crown at Goteborgs GC in Sweden last year.
And she takes to the Slaley fairways in fine form after becoming the first English winner of the German Girls’ International Amateur competition at Golf Club Bad Saarow in May.
She said: “The German Girls Championship was my fourth international event this season and | feel I've gained more experience and knowledge each time. My win has given me confidence for the rest of the season and I'm very proud that all my hard work with the help of team England Golf and my coach Paul Fiddes has paid off.
