Mowbray’s fear that Cats could lose their closeness

FORMER Sunderland manager Tony Mowbray has expressed concern over the club’s togetherness this season.

Mowbray expressed one worry for Sunderland’s Premier League season, and revealed how Dan Neil might currently be feeling after losing the captaincy to Granit Xhaka.

Mowbray’s main worry is their togetherness, something that he says could now be lost from his time at the club.

He said: “My only fear for Sunderland, and I think they're going to do OK, but when I was there, the strength of that football team was a core group who actually loved each other, and drove each other on.
