NEW FIRST-TEAM COACH LUCIANO VULCANO LOOKING FORWARD TO CHALLENGE OF THE PREMIERSHIP
LUCIANO Vulcano has coached in Serie A with AC Milan, worked with Roberto Mancini at Inter and coached Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia.
Life at the top table of football has shaped the 37-year-old Italian in profound ways - now his next chapter has begun on Wearside, in red and white.
“The first feelings are really good,” he smiled, as he spoke to the club's media in Portugal.
“People here are very welcoming, and I really like the atmosphere inside the club.”
Despite his glittering CV, he's hungry, eager to improve and determined to better himself.
“The Premier League is a dream for every coach,” he said. “It's the best league in the world. It's a huge challenge - but also a fantastic opportunity to improve, to test myself, and bring my ideas to an amazing environment.”
