Guehi still grabs the interest of Magpies
The Journal
|May 29, 2025
NEWCASTLE United have refused to give up on their pursuit of Marc Guehi - but Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has expressed a determination to keep hold of his best players this summer.
The Magpies are one of many clubs queueing up for top Selhurst Park talent, with Guehi the St James' Park hierarchy's top defensive target 12 months ago. However, Palace, who won the FA Cup this month and will play European football next term, have shown a determination to keep captain Guehi at Selhurst Park.
The likes of Eberechi Eze, Adam Wharton, Daniel Munoz, Jean-Philippe Mateta, Dean Henderson and Ismaila Sarr have also been tipped for potential exits.
Speaking this week, Glasner reaffirmed his strong view when quizzed over Eze leaving south London if an offer of around £80m arrived.
