A POPULAR Spanish fashion brand is preparing the runway for its North East debut with a new store opening at Metrocentre.

> The fashion brand Bershka is the latest fashion signing for Metrocentre

Bershka - part of the Inditex group - is getting ready to open its doors in the region in the first time, in a huge unit at the Gateshead shopping, dining and entertainment complex.

The new store, which will be situated in the red mall in a 16,000 sq ft store, will bring together the brand's three signature collections - Bershka, Man and BSK for teens - with the latest retail technologies to offer customers a next generation shopping experience.
