Charity opens third site to help homeless people
The Journal
|October 13, 2025
A NORTH East charity providing a long-term solution to homelessness has opened its third home in the region in just 18 months.
North East charity, Core Foundations, has opened a third house in Hexham
Core Foundations already has six tenants currently in supported accommodation and now for the first time, the newly launched property in Hexham will accommodate male tenants.
Core Foundations plans to open a further two homes in the region over the next six months, creating space for four more people.
The new home is the charity's second in the town and reflects a commitment to offering not just a roof, but creating a pathway to a better future.
Two tenants have already completed the programme and have successfully made the transition to independent living.
