Bonfire night horror as yobs throw firework at girl, three

> Freya Keenan with her three year-old daughter Nevaeh

Three-year-old Nevaeh PorterBaggott was lucky to escape serious injury in the senseless attack, which happened as a gang of thugs caused terror on North Shields’ Meadow Well estate on Wednesday night.

There were terrifying scenes as the hooded group threw fireworks and set blazes close to homes.

And for Nevaeh’s family, what should have been a fun night out turned to horror when they became caught up in the carnage and a firework exploded under the youngster’s buggy.

Now Nevaeh’s mum, Freya Keenan, has relived their ordeal as she told The Journal of her anger at the thugs that could have seriously hurt her child.

The 20-year-old said: “She's been extremely lucky. I want to kill them. 1 want something done about them, I want them removed from Meadow Well. I want to be able to go home and feel safe.”
