Bates calls for focus as Bay look to progress

WHITLEY Bay manager Jay Bates has called for focus from his players as they look to take another step on the road to Wembley in the FA Vase.

Bates’ side suffered their first defeat of the Northern League season in midweek when they fell to anarrow loss at Guisborough Town - but still sit four points clear of their conquerers as they turn their focus towards the FA Vase.

The Bay's love affair with the competition is well known and they proudly hold the tag as the most successful club in the Vase’s history as four-time winners.
