Artisan bakery on a roll as it announces fourth new shop

A POPULAR Newcastle artisan bakery is set to expand its operations with a new shop in Northumberland.
Pink Lane Bakery is due to open its fourth shop at 19 Newgate Street in Morpeth in late October, creating “at least six” new jobs.
Its first retail opening since 2022, Morpeth is seen as the “perfect opportunity” for the business to open a “fast paced high street bakery, just like our original”.
However, expanding out of Newcastle wasn’t on the radar until a staff member suggested Northumberland’s county town.
