Major renovations begin at parliament after four decades

Extensive renovations have begun at the Parliament of Sri Lanka, marking the first major overhaul in over 42 years.

According to a statement from Parliament, the renovations are being carried out with Cabinet approval and under the direction of Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne.
