The Jaffna Teaching Hospital has made significant strides in eye care, treating as many as 27,952 patients for various eye conditions during the first six months of this year.

Dr. M. Malaravan, a leading ophthalmic surgeon at the hospital, revealed that the majority of those patients were from Sri Lanka’s Southern Province, making this trend particularly notable for the hospital’s service outreach.
