2,000-year-old relics unearthed in Kerala

Historical artefacts believed to date back to the 2,000-year-old megalithic period were recently unearthed at Manimoola village in the Bandadukka forest area in Kerala’s Kasaragod district during excavation work.
The relics were discovered while digging trenches to lay drinking water pipelines to nearby homes under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme.
The Hindu reported that Dr. Nandakumar Koroth, historian and faculty member at Nehru Arts and Science College, Kanhangad, has confirmed that the rock-cut chamber and artefacts found at the site are significant remnants of the megalithic era.
