Plea to allies over Russia's use of oil 'shadow fleet'

Britain has urged its allies to seize "shadow fleet" vessels helping Russia evade oil sanctions as the Government increases pressure on Moscow to end the war in Ukraine.

Hundreds of ageing oil tankers said to be operating with unclear ownership have already been sanctioned by the UK, US and Europe for breaching sanctions on Russian oil.
