Kasumu keen to 'solidify spot in team' with Town
The Huddersfield Daily Examiner
|October 09, 2025
HUDDERSFIELD Town midfielder David Kasumu is looking to "solidify a spot in the team" following his recent inclusion in the starting 11.
The 26-year-old has started each of the last three League One matches, having initially had to be patient for his opportunity in the side.
Ryan Ledson and Herbie Kane had been Lee Grant’s preferred midfield pairing for the opening eight league games, but with the latter now facing a spell on the sidelines through injury, Kasumu has been afforded a chance to impress.
Reflecting on his performances at a recent press conference, Kasumu said: “I feel like there's still definitely more to come.
“It was only my second start in the league I think (at Exeter), so obviously when you go through a run of games, you're going to get more confident, get more fit, just get used to playing again.
“Obviously for me, I don’t feel like I'm at the top of my game at the moment.
