EX-CUSTOMER TAKES OVER TOWN FANS‘ PUB
A PUB popular with Huddersfield Town fans has a new owner who has admitted that he has “big shoes to fill”.
John Wilkins took over at The Peacock in Leeds Road, Huddersfield, three weeks ago and is determined to see it thrive as a pub during difficult times for many in the trade.
John, 57, has dropped prices on some drinks to help the regulars as well as the Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Giants fans who come in on match days. He has plans to make more use of the kitchen so that customers can grab some hot food as the winter draws in. He's also opening up the function room.
