Dad and toddler 'lucky' to walk away from crash
The Huddersfield Daily Examiner
|October 13, 2025
A KIRKLEES dad has spoken of the horrifying moment his car barrelled into a wall while his two-year-old was strapped inside.
-
Mark "Aldo" Aldridge, a 48-year-old from Batley, was finishing the school run when he lost control of his car while his little girl, Ava-Rose, was strapped in the back. He says the pair were "lucky" to walk away from the crash unscathed after he lost control on the wet tarmac.
Mark said: "I had bought it and had it for less than a month. I had just finished dropping the kids off at school and I had strapped my daughter into the back seat. As I was setting off, something didn't feel right - especially as the ground was wet from rain the night before.
