WORK to repair a fire-damaged path up to Huddersfield's Castle Hill should be completed within days but it will take longer for trees and plants to recover.

Large parts of the Almondbury hill were swept by a huge fire in July. A steep path made from wood and tarmac was virtually destroyed by the heat and flames.
