NAVAL BASE GYM FACILITY THAT CAN'T SHUT
A BRAND new gym facility has officially been opened inside Devonport naval base, to be used by Royal Navy and Royal Marines personnel.
The new outdoor strength and conditioning shelter is the first of its kind in the Royal Navy and Marines.
Paul 'Sweeny' Todd, regional Physical Development Officer for the Western Region said that it was created as a way to provide physical development activities to service personnel if gyms around the site needed to close, as they did during the pandemic.
This is in addition to the Wyvern Centre, currently used by service personnel on the naval base.
