YOUNG people coming out of the care system in Plymouth will get free prescriptions from April.
-
The will be eligible for pre-paid prescription certificates, arranged through their personal advisors, until they are 25.
The city council will reclaim the costs through the Integrated Care Board (ICB).
The council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for children’s social care Cllr Jemima Laing (Lab, Stoke) told a cabinet meeting this week she is “enormously grateful” to the ICB for its support.
