The Pilgrims' bottom-of-the-table League One clash away to Port Vale today will come too soon for the pair but they could be available for the following game, the visit of Northampton Town to Home Park on Saturday, November 29.

Given the news that midfielder Bradley Ibrahim has suffered a long-term ankle injury in a freak incident during training, the impending comebacks of Amaechi and Pleguezuelo are much-needed boosts for Argyle.

Club captain Joe Edwards and Ayman Benarous are both fit for the game against Port Vale after recovering from calf and knee injuries respectively, and Joe Ralls is set to be added to the matchday squad for the first time.

The 32-year-old former Cardiff City midfielder joined the Pilgrims on a short-term contract as a free agent a couple of weeks ago and has been working ever since on his fitness levels.

Defender Brendan Galloway is also fit for the Port Vale match despite suffering a facial injury when playing for Zimbabwe in a friendly international against Algeria in Saudi Arabia last week.
