THREE WICKETS EACH FOR CITY BOWLERS IN SIDMOUTH SUCCESS
THREE wickets each for Hal Kerton and Zak Saleem steered Plymouth towards a hefty 172-run win at Sidmouth.
Mekyle Pillay top scored with 87 as Plymouth amassed 286 for eight in the full 50 overs.
Kerton (3-28) claimed three top-order wickets including the ever-dangerous Sam Elstone for just 10 as Sidmouth slipped to 67 for five in reply.
There was minimal resistance after that as Ethan Guest (2-26) dealt with the middle order, which left Saleem (3-17) to sweep-up at the end.
Victory moved Plymouth up to fourth in the Tolchards DCL Premier table at the expense of Exeter, who lost at Exmouth.
Rahul Randev (36) made early runs for Plymouth, who stumbled briefly to 72 for four before Pillay, Matt Whalley and Kerton got on with it!
By the time Pillay was sixth out on 223 he had put on 99 with Whalley (43) and 52 with Kerton (32).
