STEVEN Schumacher declared that 17-year-old Jack Endacott should be 'really proud of himself' after his impressive first-team debut for Plymouth Argyle.
With Conor Grant and Mickel Miller out injured, and former England youth international Bali Mumba on the substitutes' bench, Endacott played at left wing-back for the whole of the Carabao Cup first-round tie against Peterborough United Home Park.
Although the Pilgrims were beaten 2-0 after some wasteful finishing from them in front of goal, the performance of former Ivybridge Community College pupil Endacott was a definite plus point.
The second-year scholar was up against the pacy David Ajiboye, who Peterborough signed for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract from League Two side Sutton United in June. Endacott had some trouble dealing with Ajiboye in the first half but got better as the game went on and provided a good attacking outlet when the Pilgrims got on top in the second period.
