Injured Pleguezuelo still doing his bit for Pilgrims

IT will be at least a couple of months before Julio Pleguezuelo is ready to return to action after a knee operation but Tom Cleverley has revealed how the Spanish defender is still playing his part for Plymouth Argyle while on the sidelines.

The 28-year-old (pictured) is carrying out his rehab at Home Park on a daily basis and Cleverley has explained how he is 'a good character' to have around the club and provide some experience for a largely youthful squad.

Pleguezuelo missed much of preseason due to a knee issue and after making an attempted comeback in the final warm-up match, against Bristol City at Home Park in late July, he had to have surgery.

Cleverley said: "Pleggy has just actually hit halfway in his rehab, I think it was a couple of days ago. We had a little halfway handshake to say keep going.
