ARGYLE GOALKEEPER FORCED OFF FOR NORTHERN IRELAND

Argyle goalkeeper Conor Hazard had his ninth international appearance for Northern Ireland, and his first one in 15 months, cut short by an injury.

The 27-year-old was selected by manager Michael O'Neill to start the friendly against Denmark at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen on Saturday. That followed some good performances from Hazard in the Championship last season despite the Pilgrims’ eventual relegation to League One.

However, Hazard fell heavily after he went to punch clear a cross into the Northern Ireland penalty area during the first half under pressure from Denmark’s Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund and received lengthy medical attention on the pitch to his right leg a short while later.
