Gladiators' Klindt is on a mission after a disappointing start

HEAT leader and number one Nicolai Klindt is a man on a mission after his disappointing start to life with the Plymouth Gladiators.

Much was expected of the 36-year-old Dane when he was announced as the team's 'star man' in the winter, but he has failed to live up to his billing with a number of underwhelming performances so far for his Championship club.

Last week, in the 50-40 defeat at home to Glasgow Tigers, he mustered only five points from his four rides, although he was better in the narrow win against Poole Pirates, scoring eight from five. And in the season opening BSN Series clash with Oxford Cheetahs, Klindt managed just six points from his four rides, leaving him some way short of his 9.89 average.
