SCHUMACHER DELIGHTED WITH ISSAKA AND ROBERTS IN WIN
STEVEN Schumacher plans to fasttrack the development of talented Plymouth Argyle 17-year-olds Freddie Issaka and Caleb Roberts by getting them to train daily with the first team squad.
Issaka made his full debut for the Pilgrims, and an impressive one at that, in the 2-0 Carabao Cup first round win against Leyton Orient at Home Park on Tuesday.
The Wales under-17 international, and former Truro School student, got the assist for the second of New Zealand international striker Ben Waine's two first half goals against the O's.
Roberts, meanwhile, was a 58th minute substitute for Luke Cundle, the 21-year-old midfielder who had only signed on a season-long loan from Premier League club Wolves the previous day.
