Five roads closed as gas pipes upgraded
The Herald
|March 03, 2025
FIVE roads will be closed over the space of three months as gas pipes are upgraded in Plymouth.
Marlborough Street and four surrounding roads will be closed between March and June as Wales & West Utilities work to upgrade gas pipes underground.
Work will start the work on March 18 and, barring any engineering difficulties, it will complete in July. The company say the work is essential to keep the gas flowing safely and reliably to local homes and businesses, keeping people warm for generations to come. The gas emergency and pipeline service has liaised with Plymouth County Council to plan the work, as a number of roads will need to be closed.
