PLYMSTOCK Fire Station was flooded on Friday morning as most of the city battled heavy rainfall throughout Thursday night and into the early hours of Friday morning.

In a video shared by the neighbouring Armae Salon on Dean Hill, Plymstock Fire Station wrote:
‘While the crew was out responding to flooding calls on Friday morning, little did we know our own station was being flooded. Thanks to Armae Salon our neighbours across the road for the video image.”
Armae Salon had to close on Friday following damage caused by the flooding. They wrote at the time: “Today we had to close the salon as it was completely flooded due to the heavy rain and blocked drains!
“We are so sorry to all of our clients that had to be cancelled and apologies to the clients trying to get through to us on the phone as it has been down all day.
