WHITTAKER CALLS ON PILGRIMS TO RELISH TRIP TO LEEDS

- BEN BROWNING

DON'T BE SCARED!

MORGAN Whittaker has urged his Plymouth Argyle team-mates to take heart from their comeback against Preston North End last Saturday to try and change their fortunes away from Home Park.

The Pilgrims looked down and out when they trailed 3-0 to Paul Heckingbottom's men, but Freddie Issaka and Andre Gray both struck their first goals for the club to set up a thrilling finale. And with two minutes of stoppage time played, Whittaker caught out Lillywhites goalkeeper Freddie Woodman at his near post to rescue a point for Argyle and ensure it was not three defeats in a row for Wayne Rooney's men.

Next up is a daunting trip to Leeds United on Saturday and Whittaker says the Pilgrims can't be scared of playing in such a big game.
