Microsoft are removing support for Windows 10 on October 14. It will affect business and home PCs and laptops

USERS of desktop computers of a certain age face the risk of data integrity loss or theft from next month, with Microsoft having previously announced that Windows 10 is from October 'dead in the water' and users have no option but to migrate to Windows 11.

What does this mean in reality? For starters there will be no upgrades to your operating system which includes essential security protection, no upgrades to drivers (the software that allows all your components and add-ons to work, for example printers, monitors, keyboards...), no upgrades to existing software such as Office, Bing, Outlook (email).

So more and more of your 'electronic toolbox' becomes flaky, your data becomes less protected and there is no safety net when things crash around you.
