Community hub plan for centre

SALTASH Leisure Centre is to be transformed into a multi-purpose community hub - the first of its kind in Cornwall.
A joint initiative has been announced by Cornwall Council and GLL, the not-for-profit social enterprise that runs the centre under the brand name Better.
The future of the leisure facility was cast into doubt following the impact of the pandemic, and managers have said that the introduction of new health and fitness programmes has seen school and club use increase as well as membership numbers. Bosses said that the addition of a new cafe has helped too.
