PLYMOUTH is to stage a gigantic trading card event, with people coming from all over the country to buy, sell and swap.

- By WILLIAM TELFORD

Cards not just for Christmas

The Sports Cards Direct Trading Card and Collectable Show will be staged at the Life Centre and is being billed as “ a major celebration of the trading card hobby right here in the South West”

The event, on Sunday, December 14, is organised by Plymouth's Sports Cards Direct (SCD), the South West's first trading cards store. It will bring together hundreds of collectors and traders from around the UK.

They will be able to buy, sell and trade cards with vendors from around the nation, and SCD will be offering onsite card buying and grading as it has just been approved as a Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) authorised dealer.

There will also be live streams, giveaways and appearances from content creators, the Plymouth Outlaws baseball team and other “hobby communities”
