Bringing artisan coffee culture to heart of city

PLYMOUTH has an “exciting” new cafe - and one woman to thank for it opening in the city centre.
When bosses at South West Coffee Company learned a valued member of their Exeter team wanted to move back to Plymouth, they asked what would make her stay with the business.
KJ Greeves asked them to open a coffee house in Britain’s Ocean City, and now she is manager of the newly opened The Greenroom, on the ground floor of Armada House, on the corner of Armada Way and Mayflower Street.
It is set to follow the success of the company’s trio of Exeter cafes: The Tasting Room, The Tiny Tasting Room and The Undergrad, with its mix of tasty food and top notch coffee, bringing artisan coffee culture to the heart of Plymouth.
“It’s really exciting” said KJ, who was a kitchen manager in Exeter. “We have a menu with all the things that have been tried and tested in our other cafes. All the things I put on the menu there are now on the menu here - I know it works.”
